Josef Joffe is editor and publisher of "Die Zeit", Germany's
most widely read weekly newspaper. Considered a leading
scholar on the Middle East and on international security issues,
he is a senior fellow at the Freeman Spogli Institute for
International Studies at Stanford University, the Abramowitz
fellow at the Hoover Institution, and a teacher of American
foreign policy at Stanford.
